What the heck happened to the "can-do" American.
Seems now we are left with the "do as you're told American."
8. The heart of the Constitution is the first amendment….yet the Democrat Party opposes free speech, free thought, freedom of religion, exactly as Communism, Fascism, Nazism, does. How can they have missed that???
Is it that this sort of thing has never occurred to those Democrat voters???
Confront them with this, and all you will get by way of explanation is “is not, isssssss noootttttt!!”…..or the latest escape: “That’s Russian disinformation!”
To repeat statistics known to be contrived is an example of what Aquinas called 'ignorantia affectata - a cultivated ignorance'.
"The deniers first deceive themselves that they are sincere in their adherence to falsehoods. Thus they cannot be faulted for acting on genuinely held views. But in truth, they have cultivated an ignorance of the facts, what Thomas Aquinas called ignorantia affectata. An ignorance so useful that one protects it at all costs, in order to continue using it in one’s own self interest. This ignorance is not exculpatory, but inculpatory. Forgive them not, for they know full well what they do.' RICHARD BADALAMENTE
Ignorance is invincible if a person could not remove it by applying reasonable diligence in determining the answer. Ignorance is vincible if a person could remove it by applying reasonable diligence. Reasonable diligence, in turn, is that diligence that a conscientious person would display in seeking the correct answer to a question given (a) the gravity of the question and (b) his particular resources. Library : Ignorance—Invincible and Vincible
America was created as a haven for individuals, not for lock-step Liberals, and collectivists.
In Thoreau’s On the duty of Civil Disobedience, he states: “ There will never be a really free and enlightened State until the State comes to recognize the individual as a higher and independent power, from which all of its own power and authority are derived.”
