It gets said that other immigrants have come to America with nothing and made it, so why can't blacks.

Here's why.

The Homestead Acts gave away 246 million acres of land.To qualify for Homestead land, a person had to be a citizen of the United States, and blacks were not given citizenship until 1866. Research shows that 99.73 percent of that land went to whites, including white immigrants. 1.5 million white families were given free land, the equivalent of a minimum of $500,000 per family.

After a lifetime of slavery, it should be noted that many freed blacks did not have the documents necessary to prove their identity. Once freed,blacks could get the documentation after registering for citizenship, but that documentation was not always considered proof by whites. The inability to show documents proving identity made it difficult for newly freed blacks to file homestead claims.

“As early as 1865, certain white Southerners put legal obstacles in place to prevent ex-slaves from acquiring property. In the provisional state governments under President Johnson’s protective leniency, planters not only prohibited black land ownership but enacted extreme measures of social control that virtually restored slavery. The black codes struck directly at freedmen striving to escape their subordination and to obtain their
communities. It was class and race legislation.”

During the twentieth century, numerous programs and policies were designed that provided race-based advantages by law for whites by every level of government in the United States. The policies excluded those who were not white; most excluded all who were not white and male. These were programs that provided benefits to a specific group, and that group was whites.

Our society has allowed low lives into our national discourse on race. These liars and disingenuous opinion-makers have sold many in modern America a race-baited tale of opportunity lost and failure of black Americans that when examined, fails every fact check known to humanity. In the history of this country, I can point to at least four specific instances where whatever government was in power, colonial or constitutional republic, provided direct economic stimulus or assistance primarily for whites: The Headright Program, The Homestead Acts, The New Deal, and The Servicemen’s Readjustment Act.

The National Housing Act was passed by Congress and signed by President Franklin D. Roosevelt in 1934. This law created the Federal Housing Administration or the FHA. The FHA was able to create a guaranteed home loan program whereby potential homebuyers could get bank loans guaranteed against default by the government. But the government had standards, and most of those standards were based on racist beliefs.

Between 1934 and 1968, the FHA implemented and put into practicea policy that still negatively impacts communities today. The FHA Underwriting Manual set the guidelines real estate agents used to assess home values in American neighborhoods. This manual promoted racist real estate practices. It was done by defending racially restrictive covenants and segregated communities. Due to this manual, the FHA established a neighborhood grading system based purely on false racist perceptions. Redlining was the name of that grading system.

The formation of the FHA and its guaranteed loan program only worked to increase white advantage. “Of the $120 billion worth of new housing subsidized by the government between 1934 and 1962, less than 2 percent went to nonwhite families.

And the use of the race card allowed them access to programs blacks could not get. It also allowed them to join unions which insured decent pay, and those unions also excluded blacks.

He and many had said that Abortion was the great destroyer of Black Society. Black babies are aborted at 5 X the white rate but you can't mention that because it expsoses your real agenda

And the decay of the Black Family came largely from the very people you are now applauding

Despite the grand myth that black economic progress began or accelerated with the passage of the civil rights laws and “war on poverty” programs of the 1960s, the cold fact is that the poverty rate among blacks fell from 87 percent in 1940 to 47 percent by 1960. This was before any of those programs began.

Over the next 20 years, the poverty rate among blacks fell another 18 percentage points, compared to the 40-point drop in the previous 20 years. This was the continuation of a previous economic trend, at a slower rate of progress, not the economic grand deliverance proclaimed by liberals and self-serving black “leaders.”

Nearly a hundred years of the supposed “legacy of slavery” found most black children [78%] being raised in two-parent families in 1960. But thirty years after the liberal welfare state found the great majority of black children being raised by a single parent [66%].

Let's make things clear for the ignoramuses who always want to bring up reparations and run their mouths about slavery. We are demanding reparations for these things(and it's not a complete list):

Slavery, black codes, convict leasing, the fraud perpetrated on blacks landowners after slavery, redlining, restrictive covenants, contract selling, the exclusion of blacks from New Deal Programs and GI Bill, Housing segregation, predatory lending, Human rights violations in law enforcement, medical racism, retail redlining, terrorism, and much more.

So it doesn't matter what you didn't own or what you say you didn't do. You guys are not in the decision making position. This is about the government.

I quoted Dr. King and research done by highly educated professionals and academics. Your information is wrong. You have been shown that your argument has no merit. And what you don't show is that no matter how low poverty has been, whites always live under the national rate and blacks double regardless of family style. The median income for black people has never been close to equal with whites. The no maatter how low unemployment has been, whites have been under the national average and blacks double. These arre economic issues that can be solved by making the choice to provide equal pay ant to hire without discriminating based on race.

What your argument also doesn't recognize is that black men and black women are paid less than whites when EVERYTHING is the same. So a black family can consist of 2 parents and still earn less than a white ffamily. So your argument is bs when contrasted with evidence and repeating thhe same sentence from Jesse Jackson doesn't prove anything.

This argument is really wack. On one hand, black abortions are the problemm. On the other, black single parent families are the problem. I mean people arguing this do everything to avoid the real culprit-the racism that exists in part of the white community.

If abortion is the issue, why do blacks get preached to about having babies out of wedlock? Abortion is an option to reduce that problem. Therefore single black moms refusing abortions are doing the responsible thing. So then it's apparent that your argument in this regard is disingenuous. Do not use a preachers moral objection to abortion to argue this twisted argument.

Because white ministers say the same thing about abortion destroying white society.

In 1939, during this time of great black two-parent families, the poverty rate for employed married black couples was 89 percent. In 1959, the poverty rate for that same couple was 54.9 percent. These sky-high rates of poverty occurred during the time “conservatives” rant about. Today due to the “ liberal welfare state breaking up the black family,” black poverty is half of what it was in 1959 and less than one-thirdof what it was in those imaginary grand old glorious days of the two-parent black family.

Payscale did a two-year study from 2017 to 2019, and this is their conclusion: “We find equal pay for equal work is still not a reality.” They studied the earnings of white men and men of color using data from 1.8 million employees. They found that no matter how far they advanced, black men made less than white men with the same qualifications.

According to the study, “black men were the only racial/ethnic groupnot achieving pay parity with white men at some level.”

The study showed that black men had the most significant “uncontrolled pay gap” relative to white men and that on average, black men earned eighty-seven cents for every dollar a white man earned. The Payscale study showed that black men are paid less compared to all other men. Even when black and white men had the same job, experience, education, and worked in the same geographic location, the study shows a controlled pay gap whereby black men earned less.

The National Women’s Law Center also showed that black women are paid less than other women. Black women are paid sixty-three cents for every dollar paid to white men based on calculations used in the study. White women make 80 cents for every dollar a whiite man makes.

Fact.

At no time have whites and blacks come close to having equal income. It has not mattered whether America was practicing segregation. It has not mattered that blacks have become better educated. It has not mattered if black households were traditional two parent, two cars, a dog, two children having, good church-going members of American society. Your argument has no merit. Period.
