The Gaza you’re not supposed to see...

Has Israel bombed it yet?

All they need now is tourists.
Don't you worry none. They got plenty of tourism from all the wealthy people of Gaza, the middle class, and who knows if the poor can also afford it.

End the idea of destroying Israel and foreign tourism will take like anywhere else. But Hamas prefers Power over making peace.
------

Local tourism companies in the Gaza Strip are focusing on domestic tourism in light of obstacles hindering foreign tourism. The almost continuous closure of the Rafah border crossing with Egypt has made movement more difficult, while religious tourism has nearly ground to a halt because of the coronavirus pandemic.

The pandemic has also prevented Palestinians from performing religious pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia since February 2020.

To keep this vital sector alive, the Palestinian Ministry of Tourism in Gaza is working to encourage domestic tourism. It focused in particular on archaeological sites that are widely spread in the Gaza Strip. It launched a campaign to encourage citizens to take part in domestic tours and raise awareness of the national archaeological treasures.

Local tourism in Gaza is one of the key economic sectors that drew the concerned authorities’ attention. The sector has potential to employ a significant portion of Palestinian manpower and curb the soaring unemployment rate.

It does not bring any money into Gaza.

It does not bring any money into Gaza.
How do you think Gaza gets money? Think about it.
The rich go out. They bring money in. They go to the resorts, beaches, etc.

Oh, the money Gaza gets from Qatar, the EU and al others. An endless charity case.

And they will be a charity case as long as Israel will not allow them to make any money

Hamas is the third-richest terrorist group in the world, a dubious distinction achieved through various means — including, according to a May 12 report, by milking the population of the Gaza Strip for as much tax revenue as possible, despite the enclave’s dire economic situation.

A report by Forbes Israel found that one major source of Hamas’ funding is Iran, but another is a relentless campaign of harsh taxation directed against the people of Gaza themselves.

As the sole de facto authority of the Strip, Hamas squeezes tens of millions of dollars a year out of its subjects by various taxes, levies, and tariffs on consumer goods that enter the territory, as well as licensing fees on all manner of vehicles.

One major object of taxation is cigarettes, on which Hamas has placed a customs duty of up to 50%, which alone yields $10 million a month.

$10 million a month on cigarette taxes. Sinwar livin’ large.
