Modern era anxieties regarding industrialization and urbanization have spawned many Orwellian and dystopian films such as Dark City, The Terminator, and Sin City.

Such fantastic storytelling, involving outlandish characters, represent a social investment in psychiatry-themed folklore, which arguably began with the works of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle (Sherlock Holmes) and Charles Dickens (Oliver Twist).

Modernization (and urbanization, etc.) is a complex process, and it makes us think of psychological defiance and a spiritual 'primal backlash,' which is why we see many comic book adapted heroism-fantasy films in modern times as well.

So what does Donald Trump make of all this?

Cheers,

Stephanie and Stephen were Halloween aficionados who decided to dress up as a female archer and a green-lantern vigilante one Halloween Eve to protest the eco-pollution concerns being ignored by the Trump Administration. Stephanie and Stephen were huge fans of Robin Hood, Green Lantern comics, and G.I. Joe movies and wanted to do something about America's apparent lack of environmentalism progress. Global warming had created all kinds of problems (according to many respected ecologists), and Stephanie and Stephen wanted to lurk around the forests near Washington with an omen about modernism.

The two vigilantes called themselves the Forest Fairies, and they shined lights on cars and shot arrows at cars driving by, and when the police were notified, Stephen sent a radio-signal with his portable CB and the message, "The Forest Fairies will continue to annoy America until the Trump Administration does something about the modern world's obvious lack of interest in ecology vulnerability issues." President Trump was alarmed at the news, since it was somewhat near D.C. and on the East Coast, so he issued the retort for the Washington Post, "If the crazy Forest Fairies want to frighten passerby, they'll find that my cabinet and government are well prepared to handle all kinds of pedestrian criticisms about revolution!" A media war was about to ensue.
