The Constitution Was Literally Written By Slaveowners. Why Is America Obsessed With Upholding It?
Devised by the likes of Thomas Jefferson, a slave owner, the constitution saw Black people as property. It's no surprise it's being used to take human rights.

Her whole article is about the recent Supreme Court rulings. She makes a very erroneous connection between the Court's failing her expectations and the Constitution.
The most popular contemporary civics class description is that the justices are supposed to interpret the laws' relevance to the Constitution - it is always a "smoke screen."The mostly conservative justices are using the Constitution as a smoke screen for their rulings—which will continue to demolish even more human rights. The governing document was constructed during the Constitutional Convention that occurred in Philadelphia from May 5, 1787 to September 17, 1787.
Of course, ultimately, she suggests that everything is racist, because the authors of the Constitution were white supremacist slave-owners.
We do not need to discuss her inability to research the participation of Thomas Paine and Thomas Jefferson in the composing of the Constitution. The primary authors consisted of: John Adams, Thomas Paine, Thomas Jefferson, and James Madison. The last two men on that list owned slaves. How can this set of laws still guide a nation when it was concocted by white men who looked at Black people as property and not as human?
She just cannot bring herself to realize that non-white people don't know how to design a better government. And honestly, the Constitution will always be a hell of an excuse to oppress Black folks on behalf of white supremacy.
