*The Ene, of PBS*

I have listened t and watched NPR an PBS since I was young both came in handy with my schoolwork. PBS news hour has the government official on the big screen, and I got the situation from the horse's mouth. Like in GWB administration they have Ramsfield and others on all the time. NPR kept me in informed on world events with BBC at midnight with some good reporting. The other programs from kids can be areal help to a child. Do journalist have Trump anxiety syndrome ? Yes:102::);)

Ditto. Every time the right and the people vote for this, it is defeated.

This time though? It appears they are going to cut out its kneess in a manner which will leave it open to easily be re-funded by the left.

To say that NPR is a government agency because they get some taxpayer funding would also have to apply to Musk.

Bet it doesn't happen.

So we're going to end up with a "press" that is nothing more than competing and opposing one-sided realities, shamelessly feeding established ideologies and requiring zero (0) natural human curiosity.

And we really think that this will be constructive for the country.

Okie dokie.
You just described what it is, today.

I thought you clowns claim ABC, NBC,CBS,MSNBC, CNN et al are all unbiased, and only Fox is.

Ask your handlers to make up your mind for you, Simp.

uhhh. . . I am not really that knowledgeable about the relations between large corporations and big government.

The subsidies that Musk receives benefit all tax payers, regardless of their politics. . I believe. Nearly sure, folks from both parties voted for that.

Folks on the left are just as likely to benefit from the government's funding of his properties (except X of course,) as the folks on the right are.

Added to that, Musk provides a service to the whole nation.

The only "service," that government funded media provide? Is to those who work in the government, and the NGO sector.

Foundation employees, teachers, profs etc.

I'm not real sure it is a apt comparison, unless you are making the claim that HIS propaganda outlet, "X," is getting tax payer monies?

It is one thing for the government to contract for services, a completely different animal for the government to fund partisan propaganda.

So you are against subsidies for EVs.

Got it.

Hiw is that different from “donations”?
If the only folks donating to your media outlet, are folks that like what you are doing, it creates its own echo chamber.

Like minded folks donate to like minded content creators.

With that said, independent media would destroy both NPR and PBS, if those organizations did not have government and tax exempt billionaire foundation money.

Folks, no matter who they are, generally WANT accurate, unbiased information. Thus, the journalists that are best able to deliver such content, will rise to the top.

Hypocrisy knows no bounds.

DOGE needs to trim all but essential functions, but especially democrat strongholds, CFPB as another example.
The Freedom Caucus needs to hang tough on their budget cutting, especially the DOGE recommendations..
End the National Endowment for the Arts and the National Endowment for the Humanities.
