I saw a segment on Johnny Carson many years ago that showed a person preparing those burgers for a photo. They are not cooked through and they spray them with lacquer among other things--you wouldn't want to eat what is depicted in that photo.

It's $7.70 at the McDonald's closes to me, in Sacramento.

If I just start with the regular Big Mac, and “Customize” it to have four patties instead of two, it's $8.77.
