I wonder how many people have come across something like this:
The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), officially the U.S. DOGE Service Temporary Organization, is a temporary organization under the United States DOGE Service, formerly known as the United States Digital Service. Despite its name, DOGE is not a Cabinet-level department of the United States government.
Why is this DOGE not a government department like others with the 'term' department in their titles and names? Maybe this has been discussed, debated, or explained. Is this about not being held accountable? If the DOGE is to be held accountable, who or what would it be held accountable to? And a side note, people had to be aware of the acronym "Doge" being a reminder of dodging, which involves quick side steps, jumps, dips, or dives to avoid something.
