A new Department of Defense (DOD) report found that the U.S. military bases that housed Afghan evacuees suffered $260 million in damages, with the Air Force saying the damage was "unrepairable".
The DOD inspector general reported last week that the eight bases housing the refugees in Texas, Wisconsin, New Jersey, Virginia, New Mexico and Indiana are asking for repair money after they sustained over a quarter-billion dollars in damage.
Over 17 days, 120,000 evacuees were taken to the U.S. amid the deadly, botched withdrawal that saw Afghanistan fall under Taliban control.

and maybe they'll send this guy to fix em.

What did think they violent, poor, and generally bad examples of a civilized person from other countries would show up in America and magically become upstanding, law abiding, civil people?

They will continue to be what they were in their own country here.

Sounds like a lot of pre-planned graft to me and other base improvement. $260,000,000 / 120,000 evacuees is $2,166.70 in damages per man, woman, child and baby. I doubt this very seriously.

Fort McCoy here in Wisconsin is bearing the brunt of the Aghan refugees. We were sent 17,684 of them, which is more than the other US bases received. So the Ft. McCoy barracks are getting $134.8 million of that for
repairs or replacement of walls, ceilings, floors, doors, bathrooms, plumbing, electrical systems, heating, ventilation, air conditioning systems, and exterior siding. Ft. McCoy has always been kept in good condition, so they must have really done a number on it.
