And besides Floyd was a total piece of shit criminal who once threatened to kill an unborn baby in a girls womb when they broke into her house; and Saint Floyd is supposed to represent black people ?When George Floyd was killed by a cop it set off a fire storm and a lot of people went bat shit crazy with anger and lashed out. It was bad and wrong, BUT it was all because people were angry and tired of innocent black people geting killed for no legitimate reason. The killings of innocent minorities pushed people over the edge and was the reason for the BLM riots in 2020.
The Jan 6th Insurrection was all because of total lies. Trump lost the election had no evidence of fraud at all, lost all his court cases, then continued to repeatedly tell everybody "Your vote was stolen" and it was all a lie, and he knew it was a lie. Trump 100% knew it was a lie when he said it, because everybody told him there was no fraud or evidence of fraud and he lost all his court cases.
The Jan 6th Trump Insurrection was 100% preventable because it was caused by fabricated lies that Trump told his easily manipulated supporters. If Trump didn't repeat known lies to everybody the Jan 6th Insurrection would have never happened.
And this is the difference between the BLM riots and the Trump Insurrection.

Trump was told repeatedly by numerous credible sources that he lost and there was no fraud.
That is going to be the centerpiece of his trial, as all the people that told him no fraud will testify to that.
Trump knew he lost and he knew there was no fraud, but he continued to lie to everyone. You are just searching for any lie to excuse his crimes.

Floyd's use of fentenyl doesn't play a role. It's no different than if someone is dying of cancer, you go into their hospice room and put a pillow over their face, under the pretext they were going to die anyway. It's still murder.

Actually Trump has a chance with the "advice of counsel" defense. Since if all his lawyers end up going to jail, he could certainly claim bad advice from them.
The problem with that defense is if those same lawyers told Trump he lost the election, yet advised him how to overthrow the legal results.

when everyone credible in his entire administration tells him there was no fraud and no evidence of fraud, and he loses every court case, that's it there was no fraud.
At that point you can't lie to everyone and tell them there was fraud, and if you do and incite an insurrection because of those lies, you go to jail.
That is how the big boy world works. If you think Trump can use that as a legit defense, then guess again, that will not work
time to man up and live in reality, Trump's trials are going to be painful for you
