Red State! Amen.
With their usual perfidy, the leftists whom we laughingly call “Democrats,” have a new target for their game of “divide and conquer.”

Now it’s more specific than just old vs young. Generational division isn’t itself all that new. But now we’ve begun to see their new talking point strategy.

Now they seek to stigmatize the so-called “Baby Boomer” generation, in particular.

It seems that they to seek to argue that the evil Boomers have somehow monopolized the economy. They seem to require that people be made jealous of and angry at Boomers. Paint that target in the older folks.

We have even seen a Board liberal, here at USMB, begin the process (here) with a thread start this new rhetorical campaign. Like: Are you a Boomer? Congratulations, You Won the Economy!

His usual rhetoric,

You realize they're just pointing out that the boomer generation represented economically the best of times.
Houses were affordable by a single income familly.
Cars were affordable by a single income familly.
"Affordability" as Trump would say, was affordable in the boomer era.

The following generations had to work twice as hard, to get half as much.

Baby Boomers (born 1946–1964) are currently the most prosperous generation in U.S. history, holding over $85 trillion in assets—more than half of the nation's total wealth. Their prosperity stems from benefiting from post-WWII economic expansion, purchasing homes when prices were low, and long-term stock market investments

Looks like backagain, will have to take it back again.

Not a single coin of it!

The "Greatest Generation" (born 1901–1927) is widely recognized for surviving the Great Depression and winning World War II, displaying immense resilience and patriotism. Other highly influential cohorts, often cited for their societal impact, include the Baby Boomers (economic power), Millennials (digital transformation), and the massive, tech-savvy Generation Alpha

The Greatest Generation (born 1901–1927): Named by journalist Tom Brokaw, they came of age during the Great Depression and fought in or supported WWII, contributing to profound shifts in global, social, and economic structures.

Baby Boomers (born 1946–1964): Shaped by postwar prosperity, this generation holds a massive portion of global economic power (approx. 53% of U.S. household wealth) and has heavily influenced modern politics and culture.

Millennials (born 1981–1996): Known for being the first generation to come of age in the internet era, they are considered one of the largest and most educated generations, driving significant technological and social changes.

Generation Alpha (born 2010–mid 2020s): As children of Millennials, this group is projected to be the largest in human history (nearly 2 billion), characterized by extreme digital proficiency and, as of 2026, navigating a rapidly changing technological landscape.

You skipped right over the "Silent Generation", which were my parents.

I was born a late Boomer. 1960.

The hard cases in the last century was the silent generation. Even the GenX'ers who remember them kind of give you a "no, don't bring them up" while making shushing gestures.

Funny thing about Boomers and our immediate participation in GenX's creation is that they remember some of the Silent Generation. They still want no part of that.

That is what I grew up in. I'd rather be a scrawny white kid in harlem then return to that childhood.

All things the leftist want to extort from the boomers through wealth redistribution BS, and every other way imaginable for them to contemplate and conjure up on how to regulate it away or just outright steal it from us.

the Marxist tactic of division through resentment ..

Leftist pieces of refuse pushing their ageist bull shit has been a staple here for quite a long time.

These are not liberals, here, folks. They are anything but.

Hmmm…was that a time before 50 million Mexicans broke in?

Preparing to wreck as much as possible The United States Semiquincentennial.

We boomers all worked our asses off. You guys have too many lazy bastards riding in the wagon instead of helping pull it.
Not to mention the birth rates and family formation.
We need to get back to a 2-year lifetime limit on Welfare...

Marxists fail to survive without continually inventing some new class warfare for their minions to rally against.

Hell, it's not confined to just the vile dems.....Over on ARFCOM I bet there is at least one or two anti-Boomer "ageism" threads a week and it's been going on for years.

It's not just tongue-n-cheek stuff either.....The youngins' hate that we got ours. ;)

If you work hard and do the right things, you could get to the top. If you're born wealthy, you could get to the top. If you get lucky, you could get to the top. Then again, some people still manage to screw up all those scenarios. You never know. But bitching about it, blaming others for your shortcomings or playing the victim very seldom works.

Sad as it is, both political party's need to be looked at, How many are lining their pockets & their donners.
Don't vote party, Vote for those who have the skill training & education to make decent judgments, for the 70% of us
Who struggle daily to try and stay stable.

His usual rhetoric,

The Boomers are starting to die out, so their usefulness as voters is ending.
