Dems are screwed. If Biden only withdraws from the race the focus will be on if he's competent to remain in office, we all know he's not. If he's removed from office people will get a 1st hand picture of how bad Kamala is. She would have to give multiple speeches to explain things and hold many press conferences. It's unlikely the entire press will provide cover for Harris after getting caught lying about Biden.
Not to mention the debate with TRUMP which no matter what off ramp the dems take there's no way to get out of the debate.
