How would you feel if people started walking around stating that "the Asians" were "in the Democrat internment camp" and that they were "coolies", and that they want "free stuff", "affirmative action", that they were "brainwashed", and the rest of the insults hurled toward "the Blacks" by some conservative and black conservatives? After all, the majority of Asians (3-1) did vote for Obama in 2012........................
Some people do say that. Why ask me?
The point is that the Republican party has never been 'anti-this/that/the other' minority.
No party in the history of this country has done more for African Americans, for example.
There is NO 'racist' plank or attitude in the Republican party but what the far left, via their media mouthpieces, works so hard to convince people of. Pandering or adopting policies that many honestly do not think are best for the country are NOT indicators of support or real concern for any 'valued demographic.' How about the entire country is seen as the 'valued demographic'? Liberals love to say (and some seem to have actually convinced themselves) that anything less than adopting left-wing policies toward certain issues is PROOF of racism or at the very least disregard. That's nonsense.
You never answered about how you felt about those people.
Yes, they freed the slaves 150 years ago. Great! And?
Why would Clarence Thomas say this:
"I am of the view that black Americans will move inexorably and naturally toward conservatism when they are treated as a diverse group with differing interests, and when
conservatives stand up for what they believe in rather than
standing against blacks.
(But) blacks are not stupid. And no matter how good an idea or proposal is, no one is going to give up the comfort of the leftist status quo as long as they view
conservatives as antagonistic to their interest, and
conservatives do little or nothing to dispel the perception."
RNC Chair Michael Steele:
"Why should an African-American vote Republican?
You really dont have a reason to, to be honest we havent done a very good job of really giving you one. True? True,
We have lost sight of the historic, integral link between the party and African-Americans, Steele said. This party was co-founded by blacks, among them Frederick Douglass. The
Republican Party had a hand in forming the NAACP, and
yet we have mistreated that relationship. People dont walk away from parties, Their parties walk away from them.
For the last 40-plus years we had a Southern Strategy that
alienated many minority voters by focusing on the white male vote in the South. Well, guess what happened in 1992, folks, Bubba went back home to the Democratic Party and voted for Bill Clinton.
J.C. Watts:
"Republicans dont treat blacks any better than Democrats. The so-called establishment doesnt bother with engaging blacks, particularly black Republicans, until elections roll around and candidates need some votes. And even then the GOP barely fakes its minority outreach, by creating advisory councils.
"Watts told many of us what we already knew
the Republican National Committee really isnt interested in outreach. Watts said hes heard lots of promises from the RNC that it plans welcome more minority voters to the party
but has seen no action to back up Chairman Reince Priebus words. As Ive noted numerous times, its been nearly a year since the GOP lost the 2012 presidential election because of its failure to woo minority voters and weve seen zero change in the RNCs game plan.
Its still as white centric as ever."
"Watts drew laughter from the black Republicans attending Thursdays event when he noted when black Republicans criticize party they are accused of looking for contract work but no one says that about whites.
