Reality check, think this is unusual, look at other Muslim-Hindu "debates"
3 hours is a lot of time, or how much a serious debate should take
especially when hearing what is actually being discussed here...
For me the challenge was not the length, but to keep sanity
listening to bold promotion of child sex, slavery,
and the universal conversion to Islam.
And if You didn't think this was surreal enough,
the guy literally takes a Piccachu doll
for proof he's not a sadist...
at about 3h 2m.
This is relevant especially in context of Israel and India getting closer,
shared history, and parallels withstanding similar nature of hostility.
The Hindu guy, is 'my people', because though we may have polar
views on much more fundamental issues, our argument is going
to be about the liberty of human thought than dogma.
Depends on the debate and the level of knowledge of the speakers. Some are hideously ignorant and inflammatory. Some are insanely painful to watch (waves to Finkelstein). But the ones with a deep level of knowledge and accuracy (especially on the Palestinian side because it is more rare) I find interesting.RE: Israel and Palestine • The Debates
SUBTOPIC: What, if anything, do these debate contribute to the cause?
※→ et al,
To be honest, I get absolutely nothing from these debates. I am yawning about 10 minutes into these types of debates. If I last to 15 minutes, I cannot hear them any more, it just becomes pink noise (1⁄f ).
