Zone1 The converts of Jethro and Ruth (Yitro and Rut)

How important were these two converts to Judaism? Jethros daughter married Moses and Ruths bloodline (great-grandson?) was King David.

The most dedicated convert I read about was Avraham Ben Avraham. He was a wealthy, Polish man who converted and accepted death of being burnt alive rather than denouncing his new Faith.

People today can't even keep the simpliest of vows while so many in the past died for their beliefs.

Did Jethro convert? Before or after Matan Torah?

Did Jethro convert? And, was it before or after the Torah was given? I heard a few things this past shabbat, but I would like to see if we can compile all of the midrashic and aggadic opinions.
