The Commanders 25-26 Season is OVER!!!!

Well, it took a grand total on ONE play to end my interest in the 2025-26 NFL season.

One play. A kickoff, so not even a real play. Returned for a Touchdown by a team that went 4-13 last year and is still not expected to make it into the playoffs.

I can’t root for a team that can’t even get the first play of the season right. It shows incompetence on a systemic level throughout the organization and the roster. It also shows a lack of interest and investment from the players.

I can’t afford to waste my time if I care more about the team than the organization does from top to bottom. I’ll check in on their season after the Super Bowl and see if they might be worth paying attention to NEXT year.

Apparently they didn’t even dress the real players for the game, just some scrubs and training camp fodder. In which case they shouldn’t have wasted the time flying up to Foxboro.

I’m totally chill. I was berserk for about 5 minutes when the game started then I calmed down and went about shutting down all the connections I have with the team (FB, X, Instagram, etc…) and putting the memorabilia and clothing away for another year.

No. It’ll be 18 before you know it but I think that’s as far as they can realistically go.

No despair here. I'm barely a fan of the Lions. It was a bit disappointing to see them fold after such a great season, though.
