The famous GOP motto is one doesn't need an education, just needs to be willing to work hard. More fallacy.

Between the end of WWII and the mid-1970s it was possible for hard-workers with a high school education, or even less, to enjoy about a generation of middle class living. Apparently that brief moment of economic egalitarianism no longer exists. The rich want it all in a country with three hundred million private guns; hopefully they will get it.
