The Chicago White Sox have lost 21 games in a row

It's only September 1st and the White Sox suffered their 107th loss of 2024 which sets their team record for number of losses in a season.

At 31-107 they're in contention for a worse record than the 1962 NY Mets that went 40-120 in their first season.

CHICAGO, IL — Baseball fans around the United States were completely unaffected yesterday after Major League Baseball revealed that the Chicago White Sox will be preemptively eliminated from the playoffs for the next fifty seasons.
"For the next fifty seasons" ?

Yikes! I may have missed this news bit....but why fifty seasons?

There's only one team right now over .600. Far cry from last year.
last year there were 4 teams at this time over .600......and they all lost in their first round in the playoffs....3 of them won 100 games.....might be more competitive this year..............

Might. Might not. It's hard to predict because teams shorten their pitching rotations.
