The Chicago White Sox have lost 21 games in a row

That field was built in the 90's and is considered "old" by current measures. The owner is a notorious cheapskate and wants to city to build them a new stadium, which is also what the Bears want, and the White Sox don't have a chance in that bidding war.
that sounds like most owners....

The stadium is allegedly in the ghetto. They suck. If their attendance is low or falling, I could see that franchise moving to a newer, more vibrant city. Wrigley Field might become the latest stadium to be leveled to make way for a crime ridden housing project, ala the Polo Grounds or Ebbets Field. MAGA
Will Get Affirmative Action for Changing Their Name to "Whites Suck"

Thank you and righty. Getting old, that should have been easy. So what ever happened to Cormisky Park? Did the Guaranteed rate robber barons come up with a big moola deal they couldn't refuse?
They built a new park across the street from old Comiskey, tore the old park down, then sold their name, first to a cellular company, now to this mortgage company. No fan calls it Guatenteed Rate, of course- it's "The Rate" or still Comiskey for the more stubborn among us.

The neighborhood is utter shit, although if you park in the stadium lots as part of the game crowds you're fine, although I wouldn't roam there on my own, which I did many times in the past, barhopping my way out to a train or until I felt like hopping in a cab or, lately, an Uber. Great little neighborhood bars and food at one time. Some of it still there, some not.

We used to take the Red Line in, but the CTA, and the subway in particular, is such a total shitshow I do not use that any longer.

Thank you for that excellent description.

North siders eat shit, but they have a great park.

They mirror the south side quite well!

Their one game winning streak got snapped.

4th highest lifetime BA all time, erased from the history books. He led that World Series in all categories offensively.
I never dug in deep, but it seems the players taking bribes had a change of heart around game 2 or game 3. But I can't remember. Were Rothstein thugs not paying them? Or maybe nothing paying them to full amount.

I live in the Chicago area, but not really a fan of either Chicago baseball team. I'm not really a fan of any Chicago sports team. (I'm from Birmingham, but that another story.) I have however, been to Wrigley. I must say the atmosphere is fantastic. I went in the day and it was like a Friday night party.
