“I would certainly take that under advisement,” she said. “I mean, he’s brilliant, and he can set forth an argument, and he was a law professor, so he’s got all the credentials.”

Sort of correct. Forget about Barry; he will be too busy making money to be interested in a USSC appointment. Also his intellectual vacuity will be exposed on the Court, and he can't risk that.

The biggest reason not to vote for the Democrat nominee (very possibly Biden) is the likelihood that the next president will be nominating at least two and possibly three USSC justices.

It is a frightening thought indeed.

The SG/UN position is for five years, with a two-term limit. The next term begins 1/1/17. It is usually rotated geographically, but an anti-American Nobel Peace Prize Winner might be hard to pass up. It is probably a long shot, but resigning to take this position would allow Obama to rewrite his miserable legacy. In addition, it would allow Joe Biden to take the fall for all of the pardons which will be issued before the next President takes office.
