While the facts of this particular case are yet unknown....it is possible that this is a result of the Biden administration showing utter weakness and willingness to do anything and meet any demand, regardless of the danger to Americans or the rest of the world.
Are there any Ugandan terrorists in American prison that Uganda wants back?
Let's wait and see but Uganda will likely place some kind of prisoner swap or ransom demand.
However, unless there is a big political score for the Biden administration, these Americans may be put to death.
They many not be black or gay so they may be less likely to get the Adminstration's attention. Uganda may not understand the dynamics.
On the other hand, if they are guilty as charged then they get what they deserve, however, countries holding America hostage by taking hostages will probably get a lot worse now that the Biden administration has shown how weak and willing America is.
