here we go :

Codename: Kyril - episode 2 - starring Edward Woodward, Joss Ackland, and Richard E. Grant (1988)

This is an excellent spy story . Well written n exceptional cast

I have always been partial to Three Days of the Condor and Spy Games, both with Robert Redford.
Both good stories and Redford does a good job though any number of actors could have done just as well.

Three Days of the Condor
Both good stories
Did you read the topic’s guiding line? ‘No anti‑Western conspiracy leftist nonsense — only the real enemies: the KGB, Stasi, SMERSH, FSB, Mao, etc.’ Three Days of the Condor is nonsense — a Marxist, anti‑Western conspiracy fantasy. CIA data guys were true heroes of the Cold War and were always treated as such. They contributed enormously to bringing down the Bolshevik empire.

🇺🇦Ukrainian spy Sidney Reilly was a true Cold War hero (the Cold War began in November 1917). And yes, Reilly, Ace of Spies is perhaps the absolute best miniseries ever made.

Free Full episode: Reilly, Ace of Spies (1983), Season 1, Episode 2.

The story of the British bisexual traitor - Bolshevik agent Kim Philby . 7 out of 10. But Sharon Stone´s sex scenes was censored, YouTube policy

I cannot watch in my country per Youtube. Philby should have been shot.

He was part of their gentlemen's club.
so we are on the same page, can you elaborate on this ?

He was one of the British elites. If he was a working class traitor, they would have clapped him in irons immediately.
They treated him like a gentlemen and he promptly fled to the Soviet Union.
