My grandfather who fought in WW2 left the Baptists because he didn't like being told how to run his life.

He must have been either a child or somehow physically or mentally impaired. Any adult should be perfectly able to run his/her life without someone telling him/her how. Does it run in the family?

There are different kinds of baptist...I was raised in a baptist church but they were not pushy, they were serene and decent..Not the street corner preachers that tell everyone they are going to Hell if they don't do this or that....

I think the Baptists are a good religion. Good religions leave people alone.
