President Donald Trump and his top lieutenants are really snakes with their sneakiness in escalating this public protests in Los Angeles over the Trump administration's "way over doing it" with immigration law enforcement their strategy is to stoke violence and produce dramatic scenes of conflict between law enforcement and protester thereby distracting public attention from how bad the Republican Reconciliation bill being jammed through Congress is and tie up the media where they will cover the LA protests and not public opinion on this bill which is against an abundance of policy initiatives in it! Not enough has been said about the Republican Party trying to dupe the American people with this bill contrary to the Republican narrative it is not just an economic bill where taxes are lowered and Federal spending is cut but it is an extremist's Republican bill that tries to implement the MAGA non-economic and cultural agenda throughout America; it really mounts an aggressive campaign against illegal immigration (clearly not considering that immigrants that have been here well over ten years and act like good members of the community have widespread public support to be able to remain here) and really make it hard for Trans Americans to live as Trans Americans and to make it hard for women to get access to abortions even where it is legal, etc..
The Republicans keep publicly hammering this false message that the country needs to pass this Republican reconciliation bill or the American people will face a four trillion dollar tax increase next year; the important truth that Republicans don't want to spotlight is that the Congress and the President can pass a bill that will just permanently extends the 2017 tax rates on individuals as well as the 2017 policy that increased the standard deduction and did away with the personal exemption and raise the SALT deduction to $40,000/year and raise the debt ceiling by four trillion dollars and enact a bunch of non-partisan cost savings and the country will be just fine it will go down in history as a great piece of legislation that really met the moment for the country! This Republican reconciliation bill is really going to destroy the underpinnings of America's tax system where people are taxed on their wages and earned income in a fair manner, the Republicans should not implement their plan here to put into law representations that Donald Trump made on the campaign trail last year to pander for votes and that by the way Republican candidates collectively did not adopt because they were irresponsible policy proposals. If Republicans go ahead with these awful plans to not tax tip income and to not tax overtime income and to give seniors an extra $4000 standard deduction to make up for federal taxation of social security income where the fix doesn't match the problem because many seniors don't pay such tax because such taxation is income based the America people should bring consequences on the Republican Party over it and target at least three Republican Senators and twelve Republican House members that vote for this bill and see they are not reelected! If Republicans go through with this plan I would not blame the Democrats one iota if when they get back into power in Washington they do things like have no tax on income of home health care workers and no tax on public school teacher income, etc.; and for those Americans who have to hold two and three jobs to make ends meet who would love if their principal employer offered them over forty hours of work per week the Democrats should change the tax code so that these hard working Americans do not have to pay taxes on incomes from second and third jobs!
The Republicans in Washington are a very foolish group of people because what their economic plan is for America is a bad deal for Americans this economic plan of theirs is we have to grow the economy by giving big tax breaks to the wealthy and big business which will result in them making capital investments; this is just a dressed up version of the Republicans past economic plan that the country has to pursue trickle-down economics where if the country puts more money into wealthy people's pockets by lower taxes on them some of the extra monies will find their way into ordinary people's pockets. The trickle-down economic policy was a failed policy because not enough money will trickle down to ordinary people and this same failure tag attaches to this new Republican plan to grow the economy, not enough capital investment will result to justify the tax revenue loss. As a matter of fact, multiple economists have said publicly that the increased tax revenue from the growth in the economy from the Republican Reconciliation bill if it becomes law won't even come close to covering the loss of tax revenue from the tax cuts in the law!
Republicans if they really want to grow the economy would be wise to identify those industries that hold the potential to create a lot of good paying middle-class jobs and facilitate American building up such strong industries. The microchip industry was and is a good industry and the "Chips Act" that the last Congress passed was a good policy initiative and the way to go for one it resulted in TSMC building a plant in Arizona creating three thousand good paying jobs; it sure would be nice if the Trump Administration made full use of the legislation instead of threatening CHIP companies that they must pick-up the full tab to build these plants. Further, TSMC's experience offers a valued lesson for members of Congress, permit requirements on TSMC were and are extremely onerous Congress should create a government office whose sole mission is to take complaints from any and all industries and its members about onerous and unnecessary government regulation and bureaucracy and discern between legitimate and illegitimate regulation and bureaucracy and recommend legislation to Congress that can crack down on this bad regulation and bureaucracy problem; good and wise Americans don't see regulations as a tool to create jobs. . Republicans are making a mistake on their EV car policy and it has nothing to do directly about the climate change issue. America and the world is in the early stages of the EV automobile industry, U.S. automakers are struggling to build EV cars profitably. Today in China mostly all cars being sold are EV cars and the future in China looks the same in America our current Government in Washington doesn't support EV production so today and for the near future mostly all cars sold will be combustion engine cars. One reason this is bad is that the American car consumer for this time period will have to spend a lot of money on gasoline and the China consumer won't and America will see over time the U.S. domestic oil producing industry shrink because America producers struggle to make a profit at low oil prices resulting in the American car consumer sending their disposable income to foreign oil companies!
Republicans should be doing just the opposite of what they are planning they should keep the EV tax credit for both EV cars purchased and leased because this supports the domestic EV manufacturing industry. EV cars are getting better the new battery coming down the pike will enable a 250 to 350 mile range charge in five to ten minutes just like a combustion engine car, safety and utility of these cars will foreseeably equal the combustion engine car when this day comes Congress shouldn't want U.S auto manufacturers to lag behind which the Republicans seemed poised to be sewing! Similarly, Republicans should stop killing the grant money for the EV charging stations we are incredibly behind China in this effort, you could have the perfect dream EV car but if you don't have a plentiful supply of charging stations the perfect EV car doesn't offer great utility! Congress should also pass a law banning a future President from raising CAFE (fuel efficiency standards) over the next twenty-five years to a level that suppresses the manufacture and sale of a wide spectrum of combustion engine cars, the principle sought to be protected "let the American consumer decide the rate at which he and she transitions to EV cars" plus this is the principle that U.S. auto manufacturers are prudently pleading for!
Power Generation is a key industry for America's future especially with the utilization of Artificial Intelligence more and more in our society and its voracious need for power! Fossil fuels is not the way to go here they are too volatile in price, for example, credible experts project the price of natural gas to rise this year above $5.00 MMBtu (because fracking companies are cutting back on oil production because the price of oil is too law and so the byproduct natural gas will not be generated) which would be more than double its lowest point over the past year this is really going to pinch electricity bills. Part of the solution for America is to use solar power the challenge is how do we fill the gap of filling electricity needs when the sun isn't out a big part of the solution here is to use the electricity generated when the sun is out to create hydrogen through electrolysis, splitting the water molecule and storing the hydrogen and when electricity is needed use a hydrogen fuel cell to create it. The creation of hydrogen this way is called green hydrogen as opposed to blue hydrogen which is creating hydrogen from natural gas. The Republicans in their reconciliation bill should not kill the hydrogen tax credits for hydrogen plants built after 2025 only for blue hydrogen plants built after 2025 Washington should keep it for green hydrogen plants because this technology needs to be perfected because American and the World will very likely desperately need this technology in the future to generate affordable electricity!
