So....all the democrats who were giddily reporting that the U.S. sub fired on the Iranian ship.....are morons.....

=====
A report for Iran International has revealed that American forces involved in Operation Epic Fury notified an Iranian warship twice that an attack was impending and advised the Iranian sailors to abandon the vessel, the outlet published on Saturday.
------
The outlet has cited testimony from and individual close to the family of a deceased sailor aboard the IRIS Dena. The family member claimed that the sailor had called his father shortly before the torpedoes were launched. The commander of the vessel reportedly forbade crewmembers from abandoning the vessel, leading to an argument on the ship.

I am truly sorry, but the BS flag is waving proudly from the yardarm on this story.

First why would a submarine disclose its presence before an attack, much less twice? In the old days, that got you quickly on the short end of the ship attacking.

Second, how would a lowly Iranian sailor call his father from a ship that was being threatened with attack? I am sure they have satellite phones available to the crew members for just such an emergency!

Sinking the enemy’s ships is something we should do in wartime. The leftist scum - some of them - are making this out to be a war crime. Why would the sub even contact the ship?!? Just blow it to hell.

As much as it causes me displeasure, I must agree with you here.

No one can fool you

Do you think the Iranian ship was even sunk?

Maybe you are waiting for confirmation of that too?

The statist lefties are down in their numbers due to the failure of their religion of communalism in our America. With the Trump administration pushing on ICE & other agencies to launch ALL illegal aliens(potential lefty supporters) out of country, the leftites are simply envisioning the end of any foreseeable dominance in the political arena in our America. Out of sheer desperation for the survival of their communalist religion the left will jump, push, distort & propagandize ANY event they can such as this current torpedoing of the Iranian ship.

Maybe the sailor had Star-link.. ;), ;)

Well, the Navy seems to think it sank. The Sri Lankins that rescued the crew think it sank. I am pretty sure the Iranians think it sank. What do you think?
You are the one with a lib crystal ball, not me

Good call Adrmiral.

Submarines communicate with surface ships primarily using VLF/ELF radio waves, acoustic underwater telephones ("Gertrude"), and trailing wire antennas while submerged. To transmit, they may briefly rise to periscope depth to use satellite/radio,

To communicate with the Iranian ship, they would use commercial radio channels.

Commercial ships primarily use VHF radio (156–174 MHz) for short-range, bridge-to-bridge, and port operations, with channel 16 (156.8 MHz) for distress/calling and channel 13 (156.65 MHz) for navigation. Long-range communication uses MF/HF (2–27 MHz) single-sideband (SSB) radios and satellite systems.

In this case, those two warnings would be issued via

Channel 16 (156.800 MHz): International distress, safety, and calling.

They would have to come to periscope depth in order send such a signal. And of course, in doing so, radio direction finding would pinpoint their location.

If I had been in charge of such an operation, I would have just sunk the ship without warning.
I would NOT have bragged about it after wards. In fact, I would claim to have no knowledge of anything related to the entire event.
