It's not necessarily about "math", however, experts (law scholars, historians specializing in war-crimes) identify it as a genocide based on the facts. The British Lancet - Medical journal, estimates many more casualties than 50K. The dead counted so far, don't account for people still under the rubble and people who rely on medication and regular medical treatments and procedures to live. Diabetics, people with Addison's disease who need a daily dose of cortisol, people who need to regularly take Warfarin blood thinner, to avoid blood clots .etc. Vulnerable people like this, due to lack of access to medical care. The sick, disabled, handicapped..etc.

The official numbers are way below the actual casualties.

It's not necessarily about mere numbers, but as I already explained in the post, which you're ignoring, the casualties are likely much higher than the official count of approximately 50K. Even the prestigious British Medical Journal, The Lancet, admits to this.

Moreover, you justify whatever the Israelis do to the Palestinians based on what occurred on October 7th, and yet the Palestinians have experienced many October 7ths in the last 15 years alone (not to speak of the last 77 years since 1948), hence are they justified in bombing an Israeli city to he ground and killing 50K Jewish Israelis? No of course not, but you don't bat an eye for 50K dead Palestinian Arabs.

Moreover, the authorities in Gaza that have given the 50K count isn't just Hamas, but the Palestinian Authorities as well which have reps there and members of the UN and other organizations that are keeping tabs with the local authorities. Even the Israelis have in the past accepted the numbers given by these authorities, so your attempt to invalidate the numbers is pathetic.

All of the internationally recognized humanitarian organizations and legal and academic institutions dedicated to gathering data and assessing casualties of war and disasters..etc, recognize the 50K. The same experts also recognize that the casualties are likely much higher, even as high as 20% of the population in Gaza. Practically all Palestinians around the world, have at least one family member that has fallen victim to Israel's bombing campaign or died due to lack of access to medical care or food, etc.

Do you realize how many casualties there have to be for practically all Palestinians in the world to have experienced the loss of life in their families as a result of Israel's aggression in this conflict? A LOT OF DEAD VICTIMS. Much more than 50K.
