The 5 good guys we released from Gitmo

They aren't "good guys".

But, I'm sure they'll be right back in training in no time.

Yeah, that's al queda ... Do YOU know the difference?

Didn't think so.

You assholes make me sick.

Liberals soil themselves at the thought of having to serve in the military.

What a deal, trade a PFC (strangely promoted two times while he was AWOL) for five generals.

When Bush released hundreds from Gitmo, USMC and Whitehall didn't get hysterical like they're doing now. Apparently, they only pee themselves in terror when ordered to by the GOP.

again idiot; these guys are generals; top guys

I love it when y ou left-wing losers use the "bush did it too" excuse for your idiot Obama; then still want to say how different he is

I saw their handiwork when I served in Iraq

did you?

you azholes make me sick

how are you still on here with language like that?

Atlas Shrugs

An ignorant, irrelevant, subjective partisan blog post devoid of facts or the truth.

How unsurprising.

The five detainees were charged with no crimes, they were indicted of no crimes, and not convicted of any crimes, where their detention was illegal and their release consistent with Article I, Section 9 of the US Constitution.

And anything the detainees might do subsequent to their release will be the sole responsibility of George W. Bush and his two failed, illegal wars.

lol!!

I see Atlas made the left's boogeyman list?

Get hold of yourself, kid. Drop the hysterical act, because you're embarrassing yourself. "Generals". Sheesh. They've been gone ten years. Nobody in the Taliban is going to hand over their current command position to individuals possibly broken by the USA. They're just ceremonial nobodies now.

I love it when y ou left-wing losers use the "bush did it too" excuse for your idiot Obama; then still want to say how different he is

Pointing out your hypocrisy does not make us hypocrites.

Liberals, being consistent, didn't piss themselves when Bush or Obama did it. That's the point. We're consistent, you're wildly hypocritical. So as usual, moral high ground to the liberals.

Bush released captured jihad soldiers because he was forced to do so by pressure from democrats and the media. There was only so much room on Gitmo so we kept the worst of the worst and let the idiots go. Who woudda thunk that Barry Hussein would not only violate the law that he signed by not consulting with congress but he would trade the brains of the jihad (five generals) for a PFC who was in all likelyhood a traitor. Nothing makes sense in this administration.

Sure, let's invite em all to dinner. Just by glancing at their mug shots, I don't see how any rational person could even contemplate releasing any of those individuals. They are hardened terrorists. The very fact that these guys were leaders of a terrorist group, would make them expendable under any other circumstance, let alone any concern for their detention being illegal.

We also have policies to follow. The Taliban is on a list of Specially Designated Global Terrorists (SDGT), and we have a national security policy of not negotiating with terrorists...or at least we did.

They are hardened terrorists.

Then they should have been tried in civilian court and convicted.

But since conservatives were too chickenshit for that, we have to let them go. Well, at least according to that pesky Constitution thing.

No we didn't have to let them go, not without approval from congress.
