The 2021 Sturgis Motorcycle Rally Starts Today
Businesses in the South Dakota town are expecting roughly 700,000 people, the vast majority on motorcycles, for this year’s Sturgis Motorcycle Rally and super-spreader event.
Most of those attending will be white folks, parading their whiteness for the world to see. The majority, both men and women will be considerably overweight to obese, which, anyone ever witnessing one of these gatherings can quickly and easily attest. Add to this the drunken antics of mostly middle aged fat people trying to recapture some part of their youth, it’s never a pleasant sight.
However, that unpleasant picture aside, we can look at last year’s super-spreader aspect of the rally. One study placed the total COVID cases attributable to last year’s rally at more than 266,000 new COVID cases nationwide. This is a very impressive record for those participants in Sturgis 2020. “During last year’s rally—one of the largest public gatherings held in the first part of the pandemic—the virus spread from body to body as attendees expressed defiance at COVID restrictions by packing into bars, music venues, and restaurants. Almost none wore masks.”
The situation at “Sturgis 2021“ should be no different. So, adding the much more contagious Delta variant to the mix, perhaps this approximately 700K collection of mostly unvaccinated trump Nazis on motorcycles, can push their record of more than 266,000 new COVID cases nationwide to well over 300,000.
Let us wish the roughly 700,000 potential COVID-19 corpses attending the 2021 Sturgis Rally the best of luck, in breaking the 2020 record.
