Statement by President George W. Bush on Judge Brett Kavanaugh
I know there are numerous Brett Kavanaugh threads -- I just wanted to say, Thank you Trump for picking the guy that Bush told you that you should pick -- I knew you were on the right track way back when you brought John Bolton back to the White House, so thanks for acknowledging the wisdom and foresight of George Bush.
It also doesn't hurt that B-Kav is no stranger to independent prosecutors investigating sitting presidents -- just ask Ken Starr -- it also helps that B-Kav thinks presidents should be exempt—while in office—from criminal and civil investigations/lawsuits, going as far as to say presidents shouldn't even be questioned by independent prosecutors or defense counsel -- except for when Clinton was questioned by B-Kav and Ken Starr over a dastardly Russian-Iranian collusion land deal that threatened the safety of our democracy and ended up with lying about a blowjob, but that's different.
