Texas Republican Wants Schools To Decide How To Police Bathrooms — Unless They Decide Wrong

Typical GOP hypocrisy The Lt. Gov wants to give schools the freedom to choose how to 'police' bathrooms... as long as they do it his way.

What an asswipe.

He doesn't like the Federal Gov telling his state what to do, but he is perfectly content telling individual school districts what to do.

As far as his "values" are concerned, he's anything but 'Christian' or a good person. He's a typical GOP jackass baiting homophobes with fear.

WASHINGTON — Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick (R) has said he wants to “let every school decide, let the parents decide” how to police transgender students’ bathroom choices.

But when Fort Worth school district Superintendent Kent Scribner decided last month that school staff should “acknowledge the gender identity that each student consistently and uniformly asserts,” and make sure students “feel comfortable and safe in the use of restroom and locker room facilities,” Patrick called for him to resign.

“Dr. Scribner has lost his focus and thereby his ability to lead the Fort Worth [school district],” Patrick said. “He has placed his own personal political agenda ahead of the more than 86,000 students attending 146 schools in the district by unilaterally adopting ‘Transgender Student Guidelines.’”

The case highlights a contradiction in some conservatives’ positions: They want to fight federal overreach by policing students’ bathroom choices themselves. The Obama administration has argued that existing law requires public schools to let transgender students use bathrooms that correspond to their gender identity. But conservatives say the president has gone too far, and have fought back. Patrick sent
a tweet on Tuesday that made his position clear: Texas will not give in to President Obama's attacks on our values

Give us a break, jackwad.

Only a liberal asswipe would consider the "comfort and safety" of the freakazoid 1% while disregarding the emotional welfare and safety of the other 99% of normal (mostly) young girls. It's an example of the democrat party's war on children and women.

Isn't the new dual system of government wonderful? We can have one system based on the law that tells people what to do. That means there are certain rules that we all have to obey even when we disagree with them as individuals. The democratic system in place creates those rules. The other system is just to have the chief executive issue commands or 'guidelines' which people have to obey. It isn't very democratic at all but that is the system we have now. One of them kind of resemble what a democratic society would do the other seems to resembles what a monarchy would do. It would seem that these two systems are incompatible with each other but somehow we have done the impossible in this country. We have both and they coexist with each other without the dictatorship half annihilating the other. What would happen if congress issued there own guidelines? Will the people obey? Will the rule of law be respected as much as Obama's guidelines are? I guess time will tell in this country. Do we follow the the dictates of one person or do we follow the established laws in this country. Who knows...who cares...I just want free stuff!

He did call them 'guidelines' so why do we have to follow them. I think if he wanted people to do what he wanted he would have called them 'orders' or 'dictates' or 'his will' or he can do what Hitler did and just execute anyone who doesn't obey him. What do you think?

He called on him to resign...he did not force him to resign. Magic is trying to force states into complying with his gay values. Fuck him.
