Collapse? Are you sure? I don't think so. lol.
Tesla's financial statements for the full year 2024 and the first quarter of 2025 do not indicate a collapse; rather, they show continued profitability and strong financial metrics.
Key points from Tesla's 2024 full-year financials:
• Revenue was $97.69 billion with a net income of $7.13 billion, reflecting a net income margin of about 7.3% 1.
• Operating income was $7.08 billion, and EBITDA was $14.7 billion, showing solid profitability.
• Tesla ended 2024 with $16.1 billion in cash and cash equivalents and $36.6 billion in cash and short-term investments, indicating strong liquidity.
• Total liabilities were $48.4 billion against total equity of $72.9 billion, showing a healthy balance sheet with more equity than liabilities.
• Free cash flow was positive at $3.58 billion, demonstrating good cash generation from operations after capital expenditures 1.
From the first quarter of 2025:
• Tesla reported revenues of $19.3 billion and gross profit of $3.15 billion, maintaining profitability despite some revenue decline compared to the previous year.
• Operating expenses rose slightly but were managed well relative to revenues.
• Net cash provided by operating activities was $2.16 billion, with net cash used in investing activities at $1.65 billion, and a small net cash outflow in financing activities 35.
• Despite some challenges such as a 9% revenue decline year-over-year in Q1 2025 and shrinking automotive gross margins (down to 16.3%), Tesla remains profitable and cash flow positive 35.
Contextual considerations:
Tesla's sales and profits have faced pressure recently, and there are concerns about reliance on regulatory credits for profitability, which may not be sustainable long term 7.
However, the company is investing heavily in new manufacturing capacity and energy storage, which could support future growth 6.
In summary, while Tesla is facing some headwinds such as slowing sales growth and margin pressure, its financial statements do not show a collapse. The company remains profitable, cash flow positive, and well-capitalized as of the latest reports 135.

Tesla sales in 2025 are down in a growing industry. They arent just losing share... they are losing customers and seeing shrinking sales. Amazon has been growing for 20+ years. No sales losses and retail is mature. EVs are not mature. Tesla is fucked.
