Student: we prayed to keep everyone safe during our game last night. Steve got tackled and broke three ribs. Does that mean God had something against Steve?

What makes you think that God had something against the guy? Maybe the Devil is who took issue with him and God is the reason why the guy is still here and not dead like the Devil most likely was hoping?

So Satan is stronger than God? They prayed to keep the kids safe. That didn't happen.
