TDS and what it truly means and how it is arrived at.

Yeah, some have.

Some have disliked you too. As well as me and most of the rest of the human race.

But this is different than your garden variety dislike. It's soul sucking hatred at a level not much seen, even in the nasty world of politics.

I would hate anyone who ordered his cult to beat up 130 cops in an effort to steal the Presidency? Help is available.

Let me begin by saying that this OP is an OPINION piece, so take (or not) for what it is worth.

TDS definition:

“Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS) is a mental condition in which a person has been driven effectively insane due to their dislike of Donald Trump, to the point at which they will abandon all logic and reason.”

To begin with, abandoning all logic and reason is not what is happening to Trump detractors, given that Trump has broken so many guidelines/rules/basic-of-life, that the people declared of having TDS, actually have things that they can point to that are real and fact that actually create anger and hate against Trump. As such, logic and reason are not abandoned.

TRUTHS:

1) he is a pathological liar
2) he debases everyone that does not agree with him
3) many intelligent, capable, and experienced (experts) at their jobs people that Trump hired and were loyal to Trump, have left him and have turned and accused him of being a bad and incompetent person
4) he goes against reality (election was stolen, magnets lose their strength when underwater, windmills cause cancer, Haitians eating pets, bleach can be used to cure Covid, etc.)
5) he loves Autocrats and debases leaders that want Democracy
6) he causes people to bring out their worst (not their best)
7) etc..............

Every thing on the list above causes people to turn against him and in a strong way. A leader is supposed to be moral, ethical, principled and humane. Trump is none of those.

Adding to all of this, every single time that Trump has said (or done) something improper/debasive/against-reason, excuses have had to be manufactured. We all do something that is misunderstood and has to be explained but that is usually on one or a few times. In the case of Trump, excuses have at to be made hundreds or even thousands of times. As such, it is not an excuse for a misunderstanding but a covering up for a pattern of misbehavior

When are Trumpers going to realize that Trump is everything he shows to be, such as an incompetent, narcissistic, full of hate for dissension, and lover of Autocracy (against Democracy) person? A man that can do deep and lasting damage to the best nation in the world.
