In a Republic, actually
“Trump administration tariffs imposed this year on dozens of nations and a range of industries are fueling inflation, especially for goods that are widely imported into the U.S., a recent analysis shows.

Product categories seeing some of the biggest price hikes due to tariffs include furniture, car parts, electronics and musical instruments, according to economists at the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis. The findings are based on research models estimating tariff-related price hikes and drawing on Personal Consumption Expenditures (PCE) data, a widely used gauge of inflation.

Importers bear the cost of tariffs, typically passing at least some of the added expenses to consumers, economic research shows.”

This economic hardship caused by Trump is of course unnecessary, the consequence of pointless, meritless tariffs.

Jobs aren’t coming back; domestic production isn’t coming back.

Production overseas remains profitable even with tariffs.

point out what you are finding is higher in price except for beef?

beef, we have the lowest herd in decades and we are not importing beef from mexico
because it's tainted

was 3/pound now 7/pound and likely will get worse

Thanksgiving this year will be 25% less than last year.

It's not really "economists" it's CBS biased interpretation of economists. American beef prices are sky high and the cost of energy is down. What's not to like?

The claim that "Thanksgiving this year will be 25% less than last year" is likely a misinterpretation of information regarding the cost of a Thanksgiving meal in 2023. The American Farm Bureau Federation (AFBF) announced that in 2023, the cost of the meal was 4.5% lower than the record high in 2022, but still 25% higher than the pre-pandemic price in 2019.
This statement is not literally true because Thanksgiving is a fixed annual holiday and cannot be "less" than the previous year.

lol…

The sky is falling.

The article is full of TDS. Xi didn’t do anything. Tariffs aren’t hampering consumers as leftists claimed. Consumers are driving imports. Trump needs raise tariffs to 400%.

unless there is a turkey shortage and stuffing, etc otherwise the price is fairly static, it ticks up due to overall costs/inflation and supply and demand
thankgiving is not one of the more expensive holidays really

I guess that means my dreams of becoming a professional handpanner are nipped in the bud

Guess I'll just have to pick lettuce
