I will start with tariffs. China is not saying as much about rare earths because recycling the rare earths in discarded electronics could ruin China's electronics market. Big economic debate about the marginal and capital costs of recycling electronics to get more recycled rare earths but no debate about whether such recycling plants can be built only what type of geeks are needed to build and operate the recycling plants.

That brings me to the second point. The US increasingly is dealing with a skilled labor shortage so why is there Market optimism? With China losing investments and tariff revenues and the EU doing so as well tariffs and other economic restrictions are mostly a problem of not dealing with merit immigration and vocational training.

Why do we fear what is going our way and ignoring real problems?
