Friday is like Sunday for Christians.
Hebrewradio (source of pictures) provides pictures and claims this is every Friday so. Can someone living in that area confirm this? Maybe it was a single event like end of Ramadan or other important days where people increasingly go to mosques.

If it is every Friday, then it shows, that there is no room in mosques.
If people gather together for praying, they are led by an Imam, who has his specific architectural place from where he leads the praying.

This an accurate picture of several locations in New York City where there are mosques with a large number of Muslims that cannot fit in the mosque, so they fill surrounding streets and block traffic from 2-4pm every Friday afternoon.
