The upcoming eight-episode British TV miniseries Taboo starring Tom Hardy will present the grit-meditation story of a special adventurer named James Delaney who returns to Britain from Africa along with fourteen stolen diamonds to seek vengeance after the death of his father.

This visually handsome program reveals a new trend in TV catering to a gaudy-noir aesthetic and should resemble in weight and storytelling appeal the sociological value of 'parallax view' programs/series/miniseries such as American Horror Story (FX), Gotham (Fox TV), and Shogun (Richard Chamberlain).

One of the show's executive producers is Ridley Scott, and there are two Scandinavian directors who will divide the number of episodes they craft between them.

It seems we can use such programs to construct 'delinquent dialogue.' I'm all for this kind of freakish intellectualism!

JAMES DELANEY: It's the law of the blood.
STUART STRANGE: Pretty little liars.
JAMES DELANEY: There are miserable ruins.
STUART STRANGE: Show us your guns!
JAMES DELANEY: We can profit from nasty imagination.
STUART STRANGE: Your ethics are sooo ugly.
