Surfer breaks erroneous Guinness surfing record, or did he?

A surfer in Huntington Beach, Calif., recently claimed to have set a new Guinness World Record for surfing for 26 hours; come to find out, the record was only 15 hours, if it even was a record to begin with. The original record setter hadn't yet submitted his record.
Sounded like a publicity stunt, actually.

Not sure what is true and what isn't, but if he did surf 26 hours....mannn. Got my respect for sure. It's hard enough surfing an 1hour or more.

Not sure what is true and what isn't, but if he did surf 26 hours....mannn. Got my respect for sure. It's hard enough surfing an 1hour or more.

Check out my avatar, it's from Mavericks where only the best and crazy ride. Inside, to the southwest of the harbor's breakwater is a nice little break I surfed often as kid. Outside = Death in a minute for anyone but an expert.
