They are set to testify in a couple of weeks? If they don't weasel out of it again.
What if they insult the Republican congress folk, ask repeatedly, why neither Bush was ever asked about the Epstein files, and talk about how well the economy did under their administration? Pam Bondi's performance will still be pretty fresh on everyone's mind.So most viewers would get what they were doing.
I for one would be fine with that. The whole topic of the Epstein Files is idiotic. It was bipartisan idiocy to set the precedent that files from investigations should be released with the names of presumed innocent people mentioned during the investigation aired in public.
I predict that as the parties take turns being in power, each of them will in turn feel the bite of that particular precedent.
What have we learned from the Epstein episode that we did not know say ten years ago? Was it a huge revelation that powerful men enjoy casual sex and often turn to pimps to provide partners for them?
Show of hands who was shocked?
Or was the big surprise that older men often value youth in paid sexual partners and that pimps will not scruple to recruit girls under the age of majority to provide that seeming youthfulnes?
I am not saying that any of that is right. Of course it is very wrong. I question if the expense of these hearings is worth it. Will it finally put an end to the scourge of underage prostitution? Will teenage girls who hang out in the mall no longer be vulnerable to predation?
The most we could possibly get out of these hearings is a chance too "tch tch" about political figures that we already dislike. i would rather do that about their policies then about their sex lives.
