And, yes back then the NRA supported common sense gun legislation.

But, that was before the Left's full on push to do away with 2nd Amendment Rights altogether.

Times are different. A lot different. Americans are a lot more uncivil. Ignorance can be anywhere from rural to urban. But we live in an in your face nation by a higher percentage of people. Neighborhoods in many areas looked out for each other even leaving their doors unlocked at night. Murders existed in cities. But there were many neighborhoods within those cities that had very little of them. Reagan was not a politician who caused the ugliness we have today. But there were politicians at that time who helped it to become reality.
