It depends on what they are assigning really.

At ten I monitored all of the crap they were making my kid do. Most of it was brainless busy work and establishment propaganda. I wanted him to get it all done as soon as possible because I had real education that I needed him to do.

My kid actually got more reading done during the summer than during the school year.

Did it ever occur to you that reading IS fun, that playing sports IS fun, that learning and expanding one's knowledge IS fun, it is a natural part of human growth?

Children are given distractions because elites don't want competition, they want dumbed downed consumers and obedient workers, not entrepreneurs, critical thinkers and competent citizens.

The Asian Father meme was started by the son of a Japanese immigrant. I love them. They are spot on if you wish to succeed in America. Japanese and Chinese Americans hardly ever whine about, "white privilege."

My best friend in High School was the son of a Vietnamese refugee. They came here with nothing. By the time he graduated, his father owned his own restaurant and he had a scholarship to a Big Ten University. He told me stories of living in the ghettos of Minneapolis and Saginaw when he was in elementary school that would give nightmares to the average progressive.

They paid their dues and worked hard, got themselves out of poverty, they. . . ."did their homework."
