I've always suspected it, but platitudes like Meritocracy or "freedom" of white Americans are marked by perceptions of whatever benefits the white ingroup. As soon as it doesn't it must be cast away for a system that would. Blacks must equally move in their best ingroup benefit.

Now, that said, in principle, I have no problem with this. If you want to give access to the economic mainstream, and for some reason, we let schools like Harvard and Yale have an outsized influence in our government and economy, then you actually DO need to set aside some slots for lower-scoring but qualified minorities to have diversity.

Those higher scoring whites and Asians can be happy going to a state college, it's not the end of the world.

Just don't try to pretend that's not what's going on.

Actually, scores and grades should be just ONE factor to be considered. Yes, race and economic circumstances should be considered. So should community involvement.

Anyone who got high enough scores to be considered for Harvard or Yale got pretty high scores, so that's really not the issue here.
