These are strange times we live in. We just came out of a situation of where a global virus appears to have been created for the sole purpose of taking out a leader in a major country founded on the principle that the individual, not corporate groupism, is of the utmost importance for the survival of human societies. This battle has been raging since the first bite of the apple. Empires rise and fall on this and history is replete with examples of dirty corporatism vs. the human individual long before Diversity, Equity , and Inclusion stepped into the spotlight with the same old shtick of "corporations are people".
We know that in 2016 a person was elected to the presidency of the most powerful country in modern times. That person challenged the notion that corrupt government elitism is the natural outcome of human interraction which runs directly counter to the founding principles of the country that leader was elected to lead. That person had to be taken out because he upset the timeline of the conversion of a free country to a controlled totalitarian component of a global hive. This is just weird and if you don't see it as weird maybe you should take another look.
It doesn't matter if that person never opened a book written by Ayn Rand or never heard of Adam Smith. He found himself the man of the moment in 2016 and he rode a wave of distrust and discontent on the part of the people who lifted him into White House. The people knew something was very wrong and they looked past personality flaws in order to repudiate what they saw as manifestations of everything the country's founders warned them about.
A zombie apocalypse of passsive, mask-wearing robots eating lunch on the tarmacs of restaurants with flattened frogs, leg-lifting dogs, stinging insects, dive bombing birds, and air contaminated with auto exhaust is pretty good proof that human intelligence is on trial here. Unfortunately the people who submitted to this absurdity wrongly believe that they are on the plus side of waning human intellect.
Even a cursory reading of recent history reveals the practice of imprisoning troublesome actors who slander the state. It still goes on in third world countries. Do the people of the US think it is normal to give former CIA operatives their own shows on television like Geraldo Rivera? If they do then democracy here is pretty much over.
I'm just an old retired white guy. I don't have anything they can take away from me. But what about you? What about your children and your grandchildren? How important is the future of real democracy to you?
Thanks for reading,
Ray
