I pointed out that in the case of 1) Trump is convicted, and 2) Trump is elected anyway, that a unique situation would occur.He may be the first president to take office from a jail cell.
Trump sitting in a prison cell, would be a temporary disqualification from him taking office, since he can't carry out all the duties and responsibilities from behind bars. Ex: commander in chief access to the nuclear "football" and communication gear to issue a strike order.
Which means that whoever was elected vice president, would be inaugurated as "acting president" until Trump got out of prison.
