Store owner found not guilty of murder in 2023 killing of Black teen in South Carolina

Kyle Rittenhouse was 17 years old at the time of the Kenosha shooting on August 25, 2020.
Kyle Howard Rittenhouse was born on January 3, 2003, in Antioch, Illinois, and traveled to Kenosha, Wisconsin, on August 25, 2020,

Okay, I’ve already stated that I was incorrect. That doesn’t change the fact that the judge decided it wasn’t a violation of the law for him to have that particular type of weapon.

Just pursuing is not grounds for murder (either way fyi).
Well - Mr.Chow didn't just pursue the alleged shop-lifter, but shot him in cold blood in the back after chasing him 130 yards - could have tried aiming for the legs (he could also have hurt/killed innocent bystanders), or asking others to stop the alleged shop-lifter.

Whatever, Mr. Chow wasn't facing any imminent thread to his live when he shoot the kid. So its murder.

You do realize one doesn’t have to point a gun at someone to be guilty of aggravated assault— fear of life .. meanwhile, the weak prosecution was unable to present the case that left no doubt, and instead focused on meaningless actions — “shot in the back,” “chasing a teenager,” and “it was only water bottles.”

The jury only had to find reasonable doubt, and evidently they did. Blame the piss poor prosecution, instead of the jury, which you probably wouldn’t have cared about if it was a different race based scenario
So now we are making up what ifs. I agree the prosecution did a horrible job in presenting this case, they should have went for 2nd degree or Manslaughter.

Just pursuing is not grounds for murder (either way fyi). Now if the shooter pursued and the shootee was unarmed yea thats very bad.

As I said I don't know anything about this case going to shut up now.
So why are you questioning me if you don't know anything about it.

They should have focused on a realistic charge, stuck to the facts, and left no reasonable doubt. There are no “what-ifs” involved. A 14-year-old carrying a loaded pistol was a fact. The pistol being dropped during the chase was a fact. The defense’s claim that Chow feared for his son was enough to introduce doubt. Whether you agree with that conclusion or not, the prosecution handed the defense the room it needed to create uncertainty. That’s not a “what-if”; that’s the case they put in front of the jury.

Idiots are protesting and throwing things at customers of the store. Truly ignorant idiots. Chow sold the store in 2023 to the Patel family. Chow also moved out of South Carolina. Yet, these idiots aren’t letting up. Maybe there will be a bunch of idiots arrested…
