Contrary to the claim in the post, many Black Lives Matter protesters did face consequences. Estimates vary, but news outlets reported thousands of protesters were arrested in the months following Floyd’s death in May 2020.

A June 22, 2020, article from The Washington Post tallied over 14,000 arrests made since May 27. The Hill reported over 17,000 arrests had been made in the first two weeks of protests.

Despite the large number of arrests, The Hill reported most of those protesters were booked not for violent crimes, but for low-level offenses such as violating curfews. Obstructing roadways and carrying open containers were other reasonsfor the arrests, as well as “failure to disperse.”

Sure, protesting the wrongful death of a Black man, after the wrongful death of many other Black people when they should not have been killed, is far worse than any group of people being told that their votes did not count, that the President had won the election, that they should come to DC, that they should go to the Capitol, then some of them storm the Capitol for 3 or more hours, injuring 140 officers, causing the death of some of them at the time or later due to the combat nature of the attack, something the DC police was not used to........


Making all the Congress run for their lives, along with staff, visitors, family, with the chants of Hang Mike Pence and Where Is Nancy, and destroying property, urinating on property, etc, etc in the intention of stopping a proceeding which had always had gone unnoticed and without any issues, to proclaim the new President based on the Electoral and Popular votes.


Yeah, BLM was much much worse, and much more dangerous for people and the whole country.
