Stimulus Checks.

Sad that even with the greatest economy of all time workers are still living paycheck to paycheck.

Yes, most do live paycheck to paycheck. The really bad thing is that most often those paychecks aren't what they should be. I heard something on the news once that said for people in California, they would need to earn $50.00 an hour to live a normal middle class lifestyle. But I doubt if most people make half that. (And I doubt if the rest of the country is much different) "Luckily" for them, they have plenty of illegals to show them how to live a real third world country lifestyle. And there are always plenty of poor wage slave countries to send our jobs to.
The USA is the wealthiest third world nation.

I am soooo stealin' that Gip....~S~

My advice is to NOT use your stimulus check to pay either rent or a mortgage with. There is a rent strike going on. Join it! Right now because of the coronavirus thing, it is illegal to evict you. Take advantage of it. If either your landlord or bank brings up rent or mortgage, just tell them you are out of work due to the coronavirus thing and can't pay it. I know that the banks got their bailout. So if your landlord brings up your stimulus check, ask them if they got one. If they did, then just tell them that you're squared away then. If they put up more of a fuss, (which they probably will) just tell them to write it off on their taxes.

If you disagree, consider this. I saw somebody on the news a couple days ago who used their stimulus check to pay their rent with. Do you know what they are now? HUNGRY! I say to hell with that! Do you think people should go hungry and deeper in debt, but for landlords and banks it should be business as usual? If you think that, I would have to ask you just how long you have been a sociopath.

There was a sort of similar situation that went on in the housing meltdown of 2008. I remember seeing a congresswoman on TV telling people to not allow themselves to be evicted. But to stay put. And that is my advice to you. Chances are, as it was then, the police won't remove you.
I don't posess they kind of dishonesty you're advising me to use.

And FYI the banks and landlords have to pay the brokers so who are you really screwing? Trying to create another housing collapse?

Dishonesty? If you can't work, you honestly don't have any money. And chances are that if you do get back to work, you won't be making the kinds of wages that will allow you to repay one or two (and possibly more) months of back rent. Next, the brokers probably owe money to some entity too. Let them all suck it. If necessary, declare the dollar dead and create a new currency. The way things were going even before the coronavirus thing hit, that was going to have to happen sooner or later anyway. As it is, every man, woman and child in the U.S. (and the fetuses) is in debt for about $250,000.

And being closed down, they shouldn't have to worry about paying salaries. And for any unemployment, let the government take care of it until the whole coronavirus thing passes. After all this, what could cause any business to go out of business.

CARES disqualified anyone under 3 employees, and the 'pandemic sole proprietor exception ran out of funds

While Sm biz is under shutdown

So explain tgo me how small 'non essential' biz is supposed to survive this?

I just told you.

So you are telling people to ruin their credit, become lawless, sabotage the economy and nation, and make future loans and rentals harder to obtain? Either you are a leftist or a Russian sabotager manipulator troll.

Here's some Econ 101 for you. Capitalism is competitive. If it is easy to be a landlord everyone wants to do it, that drives prices up until the ease of being a landlord is the same as any other job. Economics can be fun to learn-right?

Rent strike?....are you serious?.....if you are having trouble paying rent you are suppose to contact your landlord and work something out but you will have to make up what you don't pay now or you will be out in the streets...why would you give people such bad advise?...

I see. So you are a landlord. Too bad for you I guess. There was a time in France where the little people were told to fuck off and die too. They started building guillotines. What in the hell makes you think that when people get back to work they will be able to "work something out." (ie. pay up asshole!) Maybe they can ask their employer for a stimulus increased first paycheck.
I'm not a landlord...I just believe in the law...and if you think all landlords are wealthy you have a lot to learn...many of them live paycheck to paycheck just like you....the only change in the relationship for renters and landlords is the landlord can't start evictions right now but that will only be until the lock down is over...

Before I purchased my first home I was a renter and I would always strive to work things out when I was going to be late with my rent payment...and I never had problems because I never left my land lord hanging...if I couldn't pay I would work it off by fixing this or painting that...you want to fight right out of the gate...that will be your downfall...

First, change the law. Then believe in the new law. Next, don't give me any "poor landlord" crap. They make damned good money. If you didn't think so, you would still be renting. Next, what is going on now has nothing whatsoever to do with what has happened in the past. Such as doing some painting for your landlord to make up for what you might owe them. So I still advocate joining the rent strike.

They make damned good money. If you didn't think so, you would still be renting.
You are lumping them all together I see....okay....and I'm not renting because I got married and had children and we could afford a new home...but just so you know there were many times I wished we hadn't...new roof....ok $8000????? oh well then new water heater?....holy cow $800....times that by ten for a landlord....you are like the envious cow looking over at all that green lawn next door...dump the jealousy pal and work hard and maybe one day you will be a landlord...and stop putting people in your little imagined groups....I hate it when libtards do that....

Fuck credit. Credit = Slavery! Next, the top 1% have 99% of the wealth. That is the law. And I say fuck that law. Also, we live in a capitalist and a socialist country. If we need to be a lot more socialist for a short time, I am all for it. But that is unlikely to happen without bloodshed. It is as Thomas Jefferson once prophesied. "From time to time the tree of liberty must be refreshed with the blood of patriots and tyrants." You can't have freedom for free. Why will bloodshed likely be necessary? Because the capitalist masters who paid to put their politician puppets into office would never stand for a short time of increased socialism. Not communism, but socialism. Why? Because once having gotten a taste of it, people will never want to go back.

Ever see the documentary, "The Corporation." It is a little long winded. But in it you find out that most corporations are psychotic and sociopathic (as well as other bad things) entities. So don't preach capitalism to me.

You can rent a house to hold any size family. So that argument falls flat. Next, you can say whatever you want. But if landlords weren't overall coming out in the green, they wouldn't be doing what they're doing. Also, president Chump himself is a landlord. Just at a higher level. And he is a multi billionaire.

You must be young....buying a home was necessary for us when we had children because we wanted stability for our children....to not be moving every five years and maybe ripping them from the schools they were going to....you don't think very deeply....and many landlords break even on their rentals...the rent pays their property taxes and if they are lucky maybe half the mortgage.....and hopefully one day they will own that place...and can sell it and retire...envy is a very ugly affliction young person....

No, you cannot. My house, if rented, would be able to hold 6 people maximum by law. It is 2 heartbeats per bedroom!

It was not a typo. You used the wrong word.

So let the home owner go broke and lose his house you are renting. People like you aare little better than criminals.
Why would that happen? The banks aren't repoing properties right now eithe

Chances are, as it was then, the police won't remove you.
??? Your debt will grow, eventually you will be evicted, you will then need another landlord to trust you will pay the new higher rent that your bad credit will trigger. Best course is, if you cant pay, make the best deal you can with your creditors to minimize the damage as much as possible.

No. Then you vote for a National Socialist leader. Who then proclaims imminent domain over most rental properties and takes possession of them. Then basically turns them into section 8 housing. Also, I had a friend who's son was the friend of the son of a landlord. He told my friends son that all his father had to do for a living was collect money. Maybe it's time such people got a real fucking job instead of being parasites. And actually make something tangible that contributed to the human condition.
Ummm, I had a friend of a friend who's uncle had an associate is not a valid argument lol

Rent strike?....are you serious?.....if you are having trouble paying rent you are suppose to contact your landlord and work something out but you will have to make up what you don't pay now or you will be out in the streets...why would you give people such bad advise?...
or "advice" even!
