Republicans who are still in fear of Trump's cult say they don't see where Trump said anything to cause a mob to storm the Capitol Building in an act of insurrection. In contrast to those arrested, who say they were only doing what Trump wanted. Should be interesting.

Republican senators are concerned that if they reach out to the D's and vote to convict, the Democrats will leave them in a lurch when they run for reelection. A commitment from Liberals to support Romney or Sasse or Murkowski or Collins with open checkbooks would do a lot to convince some of the senators that they will vote for them in the future for a "aye" vote on impeachment.
