A court martial is very unlike a civilian proceeding. They might not even assign a JAG until after questioning you--and questioning you aggressively. You might not even have a chance for alternative disposition.

On top of that, they often have two prosecutors. You have on JAG counsel. And good luck with that JAG lawyer. A wet behind the ears lackey who will be lackluster in your case. You're looking to save your career and your family. He's looking for a bump up the chain.
