Lawsuits likely to come even after the apology.

The guys [King] is a loose cannon.

Author Stephen King posted an apology to X on Friday after previously posting a false claim that the late Turning Point USA (TPUSA) founder Charlie Kirk called for stoning gay people.

Kirk was fatally shot during a TPUSA “Prove Me Wrong” event at Utah Valley University (UVU) on Wednesday, during which he took questions from attendees. King issued the apology in a Friday morning post to X after he came under fire from conservatives.

“I apologize for saying Charlie Kirk advocated stoning gays,” King posted. “What he actually demonstrated was how some people cherry-pick Biblical passages.”

“I was wrong, and I apologize. I have deleted the post,” King wrote in a reply to the account “Defiant L’s,” which posted a screenshot of King’s original post.

**** King. Kirk never said anything remotely to that effect.

If he knows it is BS now, he knew it when he first posted it.

It is all based on their intentionally taking crap out of context in order to vilify people.

Democrats started with vilifying people hoping it would get them votes not caring if it put people's lives in danger. They are only worried now because they fear it might cost them votes or lead to criminal liability.

I hope there are many lawsuits. I'm betting that the Kirk family sues no one preferring to turn the cheek on this, but many others should.

The time to act on this demonization of republicans just for sharing different views needs to end now. Sue the bejesus out of the entire Left, the media, the DNC, every last one of them.

I'd love to see this POS second rate writer get sued into oblivion for this obvious falsehood. Libel? Slander?

could be sincere, they'll let anyone with the proper political bone fides into that club so he may not have even understood what he was saying, writing does not require comprehension especially when hate is the driving force.

The same thing happens with Trump.

Trump says something. Democrats then twist what he said and sell it to the rank and file. The rank and file then claim whatever it is their masters said rather than what Trump actually said.

When presented with the truth via direct quotes taken in proper context, being the sheeple that they are, they STILL insist on the reinterpreted version.

.

I don't recall who said it, but the saying is "Live in a way that makes it unnecessary to apologize", or something similar.

Too little, too late.

At least one book store has removed King's books from their shelf.

"Never read or paid to watch this lowlife scumbag!"-
I started reading his garbage about 50 years ago. It was entertaining for the time but he has the mechanical sense of a rock. In The Shining, there is a passage where Johnny is driving a VW up to the Overlook Hotel and he says he "put his foot on" the E brake. LOL, what VW of that era has a foot E brake? In another short story, he describes a sheriff driving a Ford and on the facing page the vehicle miraculously changes to a Dodge. To be fair, I guess he should have had better proof readers on that one. He made similar brain dead mistakes in Christine. SMH. Garbage.
